This renovation exemplifies the effective use of space. The designer revamped the original layout of the apartment to fit the owners' needs : relocating the entrance and the staircase improved the flow and, since the owner seldom cooks at home, the kitchen was downsized and the extra space merged with the upper ground floor. Redundant corridors were removed after repositioning the staircase, leaving more space for the children's room and doubling the size of the walk-in closet in the master bedroom.
