OPEN HOUSE

The Open House on the 14 and 15 August 2021 is a feature of HKIDW 2021 displaying the creative and inspiring work of the interior design profession to the general public. Entrants range from design studios and workshops to showrooms, entertainment spaces and cultural venues. The event is also intended to encourage discussions between cross- and multi-disciplinary designers, design entrepreneurs and design lovers. Each tour lasts approximately 1 hour with a max. of 20 participants

    Founded in Hong Kong in 1995, Atelier Pacific provides creative solutions and distinctive design for cultural, retail and commercial spaces for the private sector as well as civic projects, and urban and transport master planning. The organisers of the first Fringe Festival transformed the former dairy and the rest of the cold storage warehouse into a performing arts venue in 1983, and today the Dairy is the only jazz and cabaret space in Hong Kong. Atelier Pacific redesigned and renovated the iconic performing and visual arts venue the Fringe Club in 2019, to continue its pivotal role in the promotion of arts in the community.

    Novalis Contemporary Art Design Gallery is an Italian design art gallery based in Hong Kong specialised in Memphis design and fine art photography. The Memphis Group was an Italian design movement founded by Ettore Sottsass in 1981. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Memphis Group, Novalis is pleased to present Ettore Sottsass & Shiro Kuramata, a retrospective of Future Creation by Friendship of the two men, and Curator Seiki Mori will join this specially arranged tour.

    Groundwork was founded by Manfred Yuen in London in 2007 for experimental architectural, urban and landscape design. The formal studio Groundwork Architects + Associates was founded in Hong Kong, 2011 and Shenzhen in 2019. It is an opportunity to visit the workshop and share the company’s wide spectrum of project includes architectural design, schools, commercial, and social projects.

From the splendid lobby to the VIP house, OFT interiors designed the cinema with urban chic and personalities and bringing the cinema experiences to the next level.
