Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi)

Introduction

Founded in 2012, the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council.
With significant industry input, we offer applied degree programmes which are vocationally and professionally-oriented.

THEi has two campuses; the main campus in Chai Wan provides a vibrant learning environment for students. The Chai Wan Campus has been awarded “The Leadership in Sustainable Design and Performance Award – Institutional” of the Asia Pacific Leadership in Green Building Awards
(The Awards) presented by the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) in 2020.
The outstanding green twin-tower design with distinctive features include vertical gardens, a large green house, an urban farm, and an exhibition hall equipped with a 20-meter wide interactive media touch screen immersing technology and innovation.

Tsing Yi Campus serves as an extensive innovative education hub to our students. The Building Information Modelling Innovation Hub (BIMiHub) and Virtual Reality Chinese Medicine Pharmacy enable our students to stay ahead of their counterparts.

Emphasising a “Work-integrated Learning” (WIL) approach with the advancement of technology-enhanced teaching, we aim to develop students into work-and-future-ready professionals with skills and knowledge applicable to the real world setting relevant to the future job market.
With our strong industry connections in each programme, students have plenty of opportunities to join internship programmes at local or international firms. This real-work experience keeps them current with the latest industry trends and enables them to be one-step ahead of other degree graduates.
